Updation of KYC by Physical Shareholders

Pursuant to the Master Circular dated February 06, 2026 issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for Registrars to an Issue and Share Transfer Agents (RTAs), shareholders holding securities in physical form are required to furnish and update their PAN, KYC details, bank account details, specimen signature and nomination in respect of their folios maintained with the Company / Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA).

Physical shareholders are required to update the following details:
  • PAN (linked with Aadhaar)
  • Postal address with PIN code
  • Email ID and mobile number
  • Bank account details (bank name, account number and IFSC)
  • Specimen signature
  • Nomination details (submission / update / opt-out)
In accordance with SEBI requirements:
  • Shareholders whose folios are not updated with the required PAN and KYC details will be able to lodge grievances or avail investor service requests only after updating the required details.
  • Any payment including dividend, interest or redemption amount in respect of such folios shall be made only through electronic mode w.e.f. April 01, 2024.
Shareholders may submit the required forms and documents through any of the following modes:
  • By sending self-attested physical copies to the Registrar and Transfer Agent.
  • Through electronic mode by sending scanned copies from the shareholder’s registered email ID with electronic / digital signature.
  • Through In-Person Verification (IPV) where applicable.
Shareholders are advised to ensure that their folios are updated with the required PAN, KYC and nomination details to facilitate smooth processing of investor service requests and electronic credit of payments.
